Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Hired ("Hired", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. The service

Hired is an Australia-focused job aggregator and application tracker. We collect job listings from many sources and give you tools to search them. When you click apply, Hired opens the employer's real posting on their own site, and records that you applied so it appears in your tracker ("redirect-and-track"). Hired also offers AI-assisted tools (such as resume review, resume tailoring, and cover-letter drafting), an optional Chrome extension that fills out application forms on the live job page, and optional mailbox sync that scans recent email to update your tracker. The extension fills forms but never submits an application without your action; you always review and submit yourself.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You submit your own job applications: Hired assists you but never automatically submits an application on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you submit it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Hired for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to employers;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• Use the service to send spam or to harass others;
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute job data obtained through Hired;
• Violate the terms of any third-party platform you connect through Hired.

5. AI features and output

Hired's AI features (resume review and scoring, resume tailoring, cover-letter drafting, job-description enrichment, search parsing, and form auto-fill) are provided as assistance only. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate. You must review any AI output before relying on or submitting it. Resume and cover-letter suggestions are aids, not guarantees of an interview, an offer, or being hired.

6. Third-party sites and employers

Job listings link to and are hosted by employers and third-party sites that Hired does not control. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of any external posting, and we are not responsible for those sites or for any hiring decision. Your use of an external site is subject to that site's own terms and privacy policy.

7. No guarantee of employment

Hired is a tool to assist your job search. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, or any particular outcome from using the service.

8. Intellectual property

Hired and its software, design, and content are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. You retain ownership of the content you provide, such as your resume and profile, and you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service to you. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Hired except as expressly permitted.

9. Provided "as is"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data it aggregates, detects, or displays is accurate or complete. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hired and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using Hired and delete your account at any time. On deletion, your account is soft-deleted and retained for approximately 14 days, then permanently deleted, removing your sessions, saved jobs, tracked applications, and uploaded resume. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service unlawfully.

12. Changes to the service and terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Hired after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
